Rooftop Terrace Design · Capri
From Tragara to Anacapri
Berlin-based manufactory delivering rooftop terrace concepts to Capri's most discerning clifftop villas and historic-quarter roof gardens, with plant design, outdoor kitchens and wellness architecture under one curatorial hand.

Why Capri is different
Limestone island, Roman heritage, and Faraglioni horizon
Capri rooftops sit on one of the most heritage-protected islands in Europe – a limestone outcrop above the Bay of Naples carrying Roman, Bourbon and 20th-century artist legacies. Hot dry summers, mild winters, intense UV, salt-laden sea spray on every coast, occasional libeccio gusts, scarce freshwater. The Faraglioni-facing slopes and Tragara clifftops are strictly protected by Soprintendenza heritage consent.
We work in this tension daily: with Italian-licensed architects and structural engineers, with Soprintendenza heritage consultants, and with the lifestyle expectations of Capri clients between Tragara clifftop villas, Anacapri hillside residences and Marina Piccola seafront homes. Our role is the plant and outdoor lifestyle layer – ecological substrate, classic Mediterranean island curation, and the wellness elements (pool deck, outdoor kitchen, spa) that turn a Capri rooftop into a year-round sanctuary above the Faraglioni.

Our Capri approach
Curated plants, ecological substrate, lifestyle integration
- Symbiosis methodology – mycorrhizal partnerships dramatically reduce water demand and replace chemical fertilisation in the limestone soil envelope.
- Mediterranean island palette – evergreen structure (olive, lemon, citrus, holm oak, myrtle, Mediterranean cypress), aromatic accents (lavender, rosemary, sage, jasmine), sculptural specimens (Phoenix, agave, prickly pear, bougainvillea).
- Wellness architecture – pool deck, spa and outdoor kitchen integration with Faraglioni framing and citrus pergola tradition.
- Heritage-aware execution – Italian-licensed architects and structural engineers, Soprintendenza heritage consultation, SCIA/CILA submissions, salt- and libeccio-resilient material specification.
Areas we serve
Across the Isle of Capri
Most of our Capri work is concentrated in Tragara and Punta Tragara clifftop villas, Capri town historic homes and Anacapri hillside residences. We also handle select hospitality projects.
How a Capri project unfolds
From first conversation to handover
- 01
Understanding before drawing
Site visit (or detailed remote survey for first conversations from Berlin), discussion of the people and rhythm using the terrace, early constraint mapping (heat, salt, water, Soprintendenza).
- 02
Concept and curation
A small set of plant compositions, material moodboards, wellness element placement. Always optionality.
- 03
Engineering and consent
Load calculations with structural engineer, Soprintendenza consultation, SCIA/CILA submissions where required.
- 04
Installation and handover
Our team installs on site over one to several weeks. Plants are sourced from Italian Mediterranean nurseries and pre-conditioned for the limestone-island climate. After handover we offer ongoing care subscriptions following the same symbiosis methodology.
Frequently asked
What clients usually want to know first
- Do you work on rooftop terrace projects in Capri?
- Yes. Most of our Capri work is Tragara and Punta Tragara clifftop villas, Capri town historic homes, Anacapri hillside residences and Faraglioni-facing estates.
- How do you handle the island climate and water scarcity?
- With a drought-adapted Mediterranean island palette, mycorrhizal soil partnerships that reduce water demand, salt-resilient material specification and irrigation engineered for desalination/transport-fed summer supply.
- How long does a typical Capri project take?
- Between four and ten months from first conversation to handover. Larger Tragara clifftop villas often need six to twelve months because Soprintendenza consent adds review time.

The first call is unhurried – understanding before any concept. We travel from Berlin for site visits when the project warrants it.
