Hosting & Data Processing Agreement

This website is hosted on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestraße 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany (hereinafter "Hetzner"). Data processing takes place exclusively in data centers in Germany (location: Nuremberg). No data is transferred to third countries outside the EU/EEA.

A data processing agreement (DPA) pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR exists with Hetzner, ensuring that your personal data is processed exclusively on instruction and in compliance with the GDPR. Further information can be found in Hetzner's privacy policy at hetzner.com/legal/privacy-policy.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in reliable, secure, and GDPR-compliant hosting of the website).

Server Log Files

When you visit our website, your browser automatically sends information to our website server. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file.

The following information is collected without your intervention and stored until automated deletion: IP address of the requesting computer, date and time of access, name and URL of the retrieved file, website from which access was made (referrer URL), browser used and, if applicable, the operating system of your computer and the name of your access provider.

The aforementioned data is processed for the following purposes: ensuring a smooth connection to the website, ensuring comfortable use of our website, evaluating system security and stability, and for other administrative purposes. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in IT security and operational capability).

Retention period: Server log files are automatically deleted after 14 days (Nginx logrotate). Longer retention only occurs in the event of concrete security incidents for the duration required to investigate them.

Contact Form

For questions of any kind and to book a free initial consultation, we offer you the option of contacting us via a form provided on the website. Providing a valid email address is required so that we know who the inquiry is from and can respond to it. Additional information can be provided voluntarily.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry).

Retention period: Inquiries that do not result in a contract are automatically deleted 180 days after the last communication. If a contract is concluded, we store the data for the duration of the contractual relationship and beyond in accordance with statutory retention periods (§ 257 HGB, § 147 AO – typically 6 to 10 years).

Newsletter

You can sign up for our newsletter on our Insights page. The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. Registration uses the double opt-in procedure – you will receive a confirmation email and will only be added to the mailing list after clicking the link it contains.

Retention period: Your email address is stored for as long as you are subscribed to the newsletter. After you unsubscribe, your address remains on a suppression list for 30 days (to protect against accidental re-import) and is then permanently deleted. Unconfirmed double-opt-in registrations are removed automatically after 14 days. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email or by sending an email to info@greenworldorder.de.

Data Sharing

Your personal data will not be transmitted to third parties for purposes other than those listed below. We only share your personal data with third parties if you have given your explicit consent (Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. a GDPR), the sharing is necessary for the assertion, exercise, or defense of legal claims (Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. f GDPR), a legal obligation exists (Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. c GDPR), or this is required for the processing of contractual relationships with you (Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. b GDPR).

Cookies and Local Storage

We use exclusively strictly necessary cookies and the local storage of your browser (localStorage) for functional settings that are essential for the operation of the website. No further storage or third-party tracking takes place.

Specifically, the following storage operations are performed on your device: "theme" (local storage) stores your preference for dark or light mode; "gwo-privacy-acknowledged" (local storage) remembers that you have acknowledged our privacy notice so it is not shown again; session cookies (exclusively when logging in to the protected administration area) secure your session against manipulation and are deleted upon logout or at the latest when the browser is closed.

These storage operations are technically strictly necessary (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR in conjunction with § 25 (2) No. 2 TTDSG) and therefore do not require separate consent. You can delete this data at any time via your browser settings.

Web Analytics

We currently do not use any external web analytics or tracking services (e.g. Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Plausible Cloud or similar). No cookies or identifiers are set on the website for analytics purposes.

Usage is analysed exclusively in anonymous form from server logfiles (see section "Server logfiles"), which are automatically deleted after 14 days. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operational security and IT stability).
