Why Da Nang is different

Central Vietnam, Hoi An UNESCO, and the Son Tra clifftop tradition

Da Nang is the central Vietnamese coastal HNWI capital and gateway to Hoi An Ancient Town UNESCO. My Khe Beach forms the iconic beachfront strip; Son Tra Peninsula anchors the clifftop estate market; Furama and Nam An Retreat represent the resort-villa belt; Hoi An Ancient Town preserves the UNESCO heritage townhouse tradition; Cam Ranh and Cua Dai extend the coastal lifestyle; Marble Mountains and Ba Na Hills add mountain-resort options. Climate is tropical monsoon with severe typhoon exposure September–December.

We work in this tension daily: with VAA-registered architects and structural engineers, with Da Nang People\'s Committee and Department of Construction consultants, and with the lifestyle expectations of Da Nang clients between My Khe Beach beachfront villas, Son Tra Peninsula clifftop estates, Furama and Nam An Retreat resort residences, Hoi An UNESCO townhouses, Cam Ranh and Cua Dai coastal properties, plus Ba Na Hills mountain projects. Our role is the plant and outdoor lifestyle layer – ecological substrate, Vietnamese central-coast curation, and the wellness elements (sunset terrace, outdoor kitchen, pool deck, lotus pond) that turn a Da Nang rooftop into a year-round sanctuary.

Our Da Nang approach

Curated plants, ecological substrate, lifestyle integration

  • Symbiosis methodology – mycorrhizal partnerships, effective microorganisms and humus building replace chemical fertilisation under tropical monsoon and typhoon stress.
  • Vietnamese central-coast palette – structural specimens (coconut palm, royal palm, frangipani, banyan, mahogany), Vietnamese evergreens (Plumeria, Hibiscus, Ixora, Allamanda, Bougainvillea), flowering accents (Vietnamese orchids, anthurium, jasmine, lotus), salt-tolerant succulents.
  • Wellness architecture – sunset terrace, outdoor kitchen, pool deck and lotus pond integration with South China Sea or Marble Mountains framing.
  • Typhoon- and UNESCO-aware execution – VAA-registered architects and structural engineers, Da Nang People\'s Committee permitting, Hoi An UNESCO heritage consent, typhoon-rated planters.

How a Da Nang project unfolds

From first conversation to handover

  1. 01

    Understanding before drawing

Site visit (or detailed remote survey for first conversations from Berlin), discussion of the people and rhythm using the terrace, early constraint mapping (People\'s Committee, Department of Construction, UNESCO Hoi An, typhoon).

  2. 02

    Concept and curation

A small set of plant compositions, material moodboards, wellness element placement. Always optionality.

  3. 03

    Engineering and approvals

Load calculations with Vietnamese-licensed structural engineer, Da Nang People\'s Committee permitting, Hoi An UNESCO consent where applicable.

  4. 04

    Installation and handover

Our team installs on site over one to several weeks, ideally outside typhoon season. Plants are sourced from Vietnamese central-coast nurseries and pre-conditioned for the Da Nang climate. After handover we offer ongoing care subscriptions following the same symbiosis methodology.

Frequently asked

What clients usually want to know first

Do you work on rooftop terrace projects in Da Nang?
Yes. Most of our Da Nang work is My Khe Beach, Son Tra Peninsula, Furama, Cam Ranh, Hoi An Ancient Town and Cua Dai.
How do you handle central Vietnamese typhoon season?
With typhoon-rated planters, anchored irrigation, salt-tolerant Vietnamese plant material, and installation scheduling outside the September–December typhoon window.
How long does a typical Da Nang project take?
Between five and fourteen months from first conversation to handover. Larger Son Tra clifftop or Hoi An UNESCO estates often need eight to fourteen months.
