Rooftop Terrace Design · Greenwich, Connecticut
From Belle Haven to Conyers Farm
Berlin-based manufactory delivering rooftop terrace concepts to Greenwich's most discerning Long Island Sound waterfront estates and Back Country acreage residences, with plant design, outdoor kitchens and four-season wellness architecture under one curatorial hand.

Why Greenwich is different
New England light, four-season variation, and the rhythm of Long Island Sound
Greenwich is the wealthiest town per capita in the United States and the historical seat of New England hedge-fund culture. Belle Haven, Field Point Circle, Indian Harbor, Mid-Country and Conyers Farm form a network of private gated and waterfront estates with strict Town of Greenwich Planning & Zoning oversight. Climate is humid continental with hot humid summers, cold snowy winters, occasional nor'easters and hurricane-tail events, and Long Island Sound salt exposure.
We work in this tension daily: with Connecticut-licensed architects and structural engineers, with Town of Greenwich P&Z and Historic District Commission consultants, and with the lifestyle expectations of Greenwich clients between Belle Haven waterfront mansions, Field Point Circle Sound-side estates, Old Greenwich and Riverside coastal residences, Mid-Country, Conyers Farm equestrian estates and Back Country acreage. Our role is the plant and outdoor lifestyle layer – ecological substrate, New England-coastal curation, and the wellness elements (sunset terrace, outdoor kitchen, pool deck, fire pit) that turn a Greenwich rooftop into a four-season sanctuary.

Our Greenwich approach
Curated plants, ecological substrate, lifestyle integration
- Symbiosis methodology – mycorrhizal partnerships, effective microorganisms and humus building replace chemical fertilisation under four-season cycling and salt exposure.
- New England-coastal palette – structural specimens (dogwood, sugar maple, beech, white oak), deciduous accents (maple, magnolia, sweetbay), evergreens (boxwood, holly, white pine, hemlock), flowering accents (rhododendron, mountain laurel, hydrangea, peony), salt-tolerant shoreline plants.
- Wellness architecture – sunset terrace, outdoor kitchen, pool deck, fire pit and four-season pergola integration with Sound or Back Country framing.
- Four-season-aware execution – Connecticut-licensed architects and structural engineers, Town of Greenwich P&Z permitting, Historic District Commission review, snow-load and salt-resistant detailing.

How a Greenwich project unfolds
From first conversation to handover
- 01
Understanding before drawing
Site visit (or detailed remote survey for first conversations from Berlin), discussion of the people and rhythm using the terrace, early constraint mapping (Town of Greenwich P&Z, Historic District, structure, snow load).
- 02
Concept and curation
A small set of plant compositions, material moodboards, wellness element placement. Always optionality.
- 03
Engineering and approvals
Load calculations with Connecticut-licensed structural engineer, Town of Greenwich P&Z permitting, Historic District Commission review where applicable.
- 04
Installation and handover
Our team installs on site over one to several weeks, ideally between April and October. Plants are sourced from New England nurseries and pre-conditioned for the Greenwich climate. After handover we offer ongoing care subscriptions following the same symbiosis methodology.

The first call is unhurried – understanding before any concept. We travel from Berlin for site visits when the project warrants it.
