Rooftop Terrace Design · Mustique
From Macaroni Beach to Pasture Bay
Berlin-based manufactory delivering rooftop terrace concepts to Mustique's most discerning private villa estates, with plant design, outdoor kitchens and hurricane-rated wellness architecture under one curatorial hand.

Why Mustique is different
Privately-owned Grenadines island, discreet HNWI retreat, and royal heritage
Mustique is the privately-owned Grenadines island operated by The Mustique Company – consistently ranked among the most exclusive Caribbean retreats in the world. The entire island is governed by a single architectural review committee; all villas are individually designed and the discreet villa character is rigorously protected. Macaroni Beach is the iconic east-coast strip; Pasture Bay anchors the south coast; Endeavour Bay, Britannia Bay, L\'Ansecoy Bay and Lagoon Bay form the secluded villa network. Bequia, Canouan and Mayreau add the wider Grenadines context.
We work in this tension daily: with Saint Vincent and Grenadines-registered architects and structural engineers, with The Mustique Company architectural review consultants, and with the lifestyle expectations of Mustique clients between Macaroni Beach and Pasture Bay villa estates, Endeavour Bay and Britannia Bay coastal residences, L\'Ansecoy Bay and Lagoon Bay secluded properties, plus Bequia and Canouan Grenadines projects. Our role is the plant and outdoor lifestyle layer – ecological substrate, Grenadines-Caribbean curation, and the wellness elements (sunset terrace, outdoor kitchen, pool deck, shaded pavilion) that turn a Mustique rooftop into a year-round sanctuary.

Our Mustique approach
Curated plants, ecological substrate, lifestyle integration
- Symbiosis methodology – mycorrhizal partnerships, effective microorganisms and humus building replace chemical fertilisation under Caribbean salt, hurricane and freshwater-scarcity stress.
- Grenadines-Caribbean palette – structural specimens (royal palm, coconut palm, sea grape, frangipani, mahogany), tropical evergreens (Plumeria, Hibiscus, Ixora, Allamanda, Bougainvillea), flowering accents (Caribbean orchids, heliconia, bird of paradise), salt-tolerant succulents.
- Wellness architecture – sunset terrace, outdoor kitchen, pool deck and shaded pavilion integration with Atlantic, Caribbean or coastline framing.
- Mustique-Company-aware execution – SVG-registered architects and structural engineers, The Mustique Company architectural review committee approval, hurricane-rated planters, closed-loop greywater stewardship.
Areas we serve
Across Mustique and the Grenadines
Most of our Mustique work covers the entire island. We also handle select Bequia, Canouan and Mayreau Grenadines island projects.
How a Mustique project unfolds
From first conversation to handover
- 01
Understanding before drawing
Site visit (or detailed remote survey for first conversations from Berlin), discussion of the people and rhythm using the terrace, early constraint mapping (Mustique Company architectural review, hurricane, freshwater).
- 02
Concept and curation
A small set of plant compositions, material moodboards, wellness element placement. Always optionality.
- 03
Engineering and approvals
Load calculations with SVG-licensed structural engineer, The Mustique Company architectural review approval, hurricane-rated detailing.
- 04
Installation and handover
Our team installs on site over one to several weeks, ideally outside hurricane season. Plants are sourced from Grenadines-Caribbean nurseries and pre-conditioned for the Mustique climate. After handover we offer ongoing care subscriptions following the same symbiosis methodology.
