Naples is one of the most poetic rooftop cities in the Mediterranean. The Gulf, Vesuvius, the Phlegraean Fields and the Sorrentine peninsula set the panorama; the volcanic-soil terrace garden tradition sets the lifestyle baseline. Climate is hot-summer Mediterranean with long dry summers, mild humid winters, intense UV, salt-laden Tyrrhenian air and occasional sirocco. The Soprintendenza protects the UNESCO Historic Centre with rigorous heritage review.
We work in this tension daily: with Italian-licensed architects and structural engineers, with Soprintendenza-experienced heritage consultants, and with the lifestyle expectations of Naples clients between Posillipo clifftop terraces, Vomero panoramic rooftops, Chiaia and Mergellina palazzi, and Marechiaro villa estates. Our role is the plant and outdoor lifestyle layer – ecological substrate, Mediterranean-Campanian curation, and the wellness elements (loggia, outdoor kitchen, sunset terrace) that turn a Naples rooftop into a year-round sanctuary.

Understanding before drawing
Site visit (or detailed remote survey for first conversations from Berlin), discussion of the people and rhythm using the terrace, early constraint mapping (Soprintendenza, salt, structure, sirocco).

Concept and curation
A small set of plant compositions, material moodboards, wellness element placement. Always optionality.

Engineering and approvals
Load calculations with Italian-licensed structural engineer, Soprintendenza heritage consent for palazzo rooftops, SCIA/CILA through the Comune di Napoli.
- 04
Installation and handover
Our team installs on site over one to several weeks. Plants are sourced from Italian and Campanian nurseries and pre-conditioned for the Neapolitan climate. After handover we offer ongoing care subscriptions following the same symbiosis methodology.
