Rooftop Terrace Design · Valencia
From El Pla del Remei to La Eliana
Berlin-based manufactory delivering rooftop terrace concepts to Valencia's most discerning city palacetes, Russafa lofts and northern villa estates, with plant design, outdoor kitchens and wellness architecture under one curatorial hand.

Why Valencia is different
Levantine light, the huerta tradition, and the slow tempo of the Albufera
Valencia is one of the most lifestyle-rich rooftop cities in the Mediterranean. The Ciutat Vella heritage core, the huerta market-garden tradition and the Albufera wetlands set the lifestyle baseline. Climate is hot-summer Mediterranean with long dry summers, mild humid winters, intense UV and the Levante and Poniente winds. The Conselleria de Cultura Generalitat Valenciana protects heritage interventions across central neighbourhoods.
We work in this tension daily: with Spanish-licensed architects and structural engineers, with Ajuntament permitting consultants, and with the lifestyle expectations of Valencia clients between El Pla del Remei and Pla del Real city palacetes, Russafa lofts, Marina Real waterfront penthouses and La Eliana, Rocafort and Godella villa estates. Our role is the plant and outdoor lifestyle layer – ecological substrate, Levantine-Mediterranean curation, and the wellness elements (loggia, outdoor kitchen, sunset terrace) that turn a Valencia rooftop into a year-round sanctuary.

Our Valencia approach
Curated plants, ecological substrate, lifestyle integration
- Symbiosis methodology – mycorrhizal partnerships, effective microorganisms and humus building replace chemical fertilisation under Levantine summer drought and UV.
- Levantine-Mediterranean palette – structural specimens (citrus, olive, carob, date palm), Mediterranean evergreens (rosemary, lavender, myrtle, lentisk), flowering accents (bougainvillea, plumbago, jasmine, hibiscus), UV-tolerant succulents, huerta plants.
- Wellness architecture – loggia, sunset terrace, outdoor kitchen, pool deck and pergola integration with Mediterranean or Albufera framing.
- Heritage-aware execution – Spanish-licensed architects and structural engineers, Ajuntament and Conselleria consultation, drought-resistant detailing for Mediterranean rooftops.

How a Valencia project unfolds
From first conversation to handover
- 01
Understanding before drawing
Site visit (or detailed remote survey for first conversations from Berlin), discussion of the people and rhythm using the terrace, early constraint mapping (Ajuntament, structure, drought).
- 02
Concept and curation
A small set of plant compositions, material moodboards, wellness element placement. Always optionality.
- 03
Engineering and approvals
Load calculations with Spanish-licensed structural engineer, Conselleria heritage consent for Ciutat Vella, Ajuntament de València permitting.
- 04
Installation and handover
Our team installs on site over one to several weeks. Plants are sourced from Iberian nurseries and pre-conditioned for the Valencian climate. After handover we offer ongoing care subscriptions following the same symbiosis methodology.
Frequently asked
What clients usually want to know first
- Do you work on rooftop terrace projects in Valencia?
- Yes. Most of our Valencia work is El Pla del Remei, Pla del Real, Russafa, Marina Real, and La Eliana/Rocafort/Godella villa estates.
- How do you handle drought and Levante winds?
- With drought-tolerant plant material, drip irrigation engineered for hot dry summers, and shade structures that account for Levante and Poniente exposure.
- How long does a typical Valencia project take?
- Between four and ten months from first conversation to handover. Larger La Eliana or Rocafort estates often need six to twelve months of planning.
